The deadline for panel submission is Monday 30 September 2013. Panel convenors are asked to provide a title for their panel, and a short abstract (no more than 500 words) outlining the core themes and aims of the proposed panel, and possibly including some questions that the panel might address. If convenors already have some potential participants please list these. Convenors are also welcome to attach details about papers if available, but this is not essential. Panel proposals should be sent direct to the IAS Administrator Linda Crowe (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Panels will be announced in early November 2013, at which point there will be a call for papers. Paper abstracts should be no more than 500 words in length, and should be submitted by 30 January 2014 using the Easy Chair (see: https://www.dur.ac.uk/ias/2014conference/callforpapers). Panel convenors will be sent the paper proposals relating to their panels to decide whether or not to include these. Where papers seem to have potential academic merit but do not fit the panels to which they have been submitted, convenors can ask the IAS to try to find an alternate ‘home’ for them.
